Clean Fiction Book A Finalist in The USA “best Books 2011” Awards

Nov. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- USA BookNews.com, a  premiere online magazine and review website for mainstream and independent publishing houses, announced the winners and finalists of THE USA “BEST BOOKS 2011” AWARDS  on November 1, 2011. "My Father's Colors" by Marian L. Thomas, was selected as a finalist in the Cross Genre fiction category.  However, many  of Thomas' readers have come to love her as a "Clean Fiction" author. While the Clean Fiction genre as of today, doesn't officially  exist, this honor certainly shows that clean fiction can be a solid good read and has a place in today's publishing industry.

The fiction work is a sequel to her first novel, “Color Me Jazzmyne,” which released in February 2009. Both of the authors books carry a common trademark—no foul language or sex.

When asked how this recognition impacts her view on clean fiction books, Thomas stated, "it confirms my belief that one can write a book, keep it clean and still have it appreciated by the avid reader of today."

Thomas’s novels follow the journey of Naya Monà, a woman who struggles to find herself as she regretfully discovers her father’s past and searches for her daughter. Readers also become familiar with the individual trials of Naya’s husband, Chris; fame-entranced Misty; and Carl, a love-afflicted character introduced in this second book.

"My Father's Colors", recently reached a No.1 position on Amazon.com's bestsellers list for books that speak on the topic of divorce. Thomas stated that the she more than thrilled to add "USA Best Book Award Finalist" to the book as well.
