Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation Recruits New Primary Care Provider, Specialist and Hospitalists in San Francisco and Marin

New Providers Include Internal Medicine, Endocrinologist and Pediatric Hospitalist

(San Francisco, Nov. 4, 2011) – Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, part of the Sutter Health network, announced today the addition of five doctors to its physician network in San Francisco and Marin Counties. Charles Moser, M.D., is a primary care provider in San Francisco; Anthony Yin, MD, is a specialist in endocrinology with offices in San Francisco and Marin; Jon-Michael Castelli, M.D., is a pediatrician joining the Foundation as a hospitalist in San Francisco; two other new hospitalists in San Francisco are Shana Hill, MD, and Jeannie A. Brewer, MD.  The addition of these physicians further increases the selection available to residents of San Francisco and Marin counties.

Charles Moser, M.D., FACP, Ph.D., is board-certified in internal medicine and in HIV medicine.  He holds a Medical Degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Mt. Zion – University of California San Francisco Medical Center, and a residency in internal medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center, San Francisco. Dr. Moser’s professional interests include sexual medicine, HIV medicine, and caring for patients with sexual or gender concerns. Dr. Moser welcomes sexual minority patients, those with alternative sexual lifestyles and those with non-traditional gender identifications.  An interpreter is available for Spanish-speaking patients. Anthony Yin, M.D., joins the Foundation as specialist in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. Dr. Yin is board-certified in internal medicine and holds a Medical Degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed a residency and an internship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and a fellowship at UCLA Medical Center LAC/Harbor. His professional interests include thyroid disease; diabetes mellitus and insulin management; andrology/male reproductive health and pituitary and adrenal disease. He speaks Spanish. Jon-Michael Castelli, M.D., a board-certified pediatrician providing inpatient care at California Pacific Medical Center and St. Luke’s Campus joins the Foundation as a hospitalist.  Dr. Castelli earned an M.D. from Ohio State University College of Medicine (Columbus), also serving as a counselor at Camp Ronald McDonald for children with cancer (2001-2007), where he was honored with a leadership award. He completed an internship and residency at Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. His office is located at 3700 California Street and can be reached at (415) 600-0758. Shana Hill, M.D., is board-certified in internal medicine with a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. Dr. Hill previously worked at Berlex Biosciences researching more efficient drugs to treat multiple sclerosis and as a council member for the American Indian Community Tobacco Project in Minnesota. Dr. Hill did both her residency and internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, where she received a resident teaching award in 2010. She joins the Foundation as a hospitalist. Jeannie A. Brewer, M.D., board-certified in internal medicine, joins the Foundation as a hospitalist at 2351 Clay St. #308 in San Francisco. She holds a Medical Degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago. She completed an internship and a residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was a hospitalist at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, and at Summit Inpatient Services, part of Summit Medical Center in Oakland.
