Nov. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- In the efforts to increase the on-going dialogue between sister cities Chicago and Mexico City, the Chicago Bar Association hosted a think-tank with Justice José Fernando Franco González Salas of the Mexican Supreme Court and influential international litigators.  Attorneys Jeffery M. Leving and Andrey Filipowicz of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd., participated in the discussions. Also joining Attorney Leving and Mexican Supreme Court Justice José Fernando Franco González Salas at the Head Table was Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke, Consul General of Mexico- Eduardo Arnal, and Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez.

“It is with these important dialogues that we set the stage for fairness and equality between our great nations. This meeting was vital in gathering the knowledge necessary in dealing with cases involving Mexico. As a family law litigator, I see a growing number of parental kidnappings to Mexico and other countries where the rights of children must always be safeguarded,” said Leving.

Jeffery M. Leving is a nationally renowned matrimonial attorney and is the founder of dadsrights.com. On August 5, 2009, Leving was selected as an expert resource for the White House Roundtable & Town Hall Meeting on Responsible Fatherhood.
