Nov. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Francois Dippennar, General Manager at SodaStream South Africa, believes that the company's unique selling point is three-fold; value for money, environmentally friendly, and a choice of flavours.

“A litre of soda from our system costs about R2 a litre versus R10 a litre for store bought soda,” says Dippennar.

“SodaStream is also about 10 percent of the carbon footprint of a store bought drink. There is a lot of oil used in the process of producing plastic bottles. It is then transported across the globe and this creates carbon emissions. Eventually those plastic bottles end up in landfills and take a long time to decompose.

“Also, we offer a variety of flavours and the convenience of making a product the way you like it.”

SodaStream products can be found in at least four of the big five retailers in South Africa; Pick and Pay, Massmart, Shoprite and Spar. “We see them on a regular basis to look at any improvements or problem areas, negotiate pricing and this is an ongoing relationship, notes Dippennar.
