Nov. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Spirit & Destiny Magazine is carrying, in their November 2011 issue, a 4 page article with photos about a new spirituality movement called Lightworker Circles’. What is this and why should we be impressed?

The New Age has been hallmarked by the ‘law’ of attraction and finding ‘soul mates’, the acquisition of ‘abundance’ and ‘positive thinking’. Self-seeking and excess without conscience have been promoted, people have been told what they want to hear, but now we enter a New Era, that of The Lightworker (the lightworker is the person who wants to make the world a better place).

To campaign for political change, to raise money and awareness for charities is often an arduous task, but coming together with others of ‘like mind’ provides an easier and more enjoyable outcome, especially if combined with a personal search and a spiritual experience which involves contact with the great and wise spirit teachers of the past. Lightworker Circles contact great ancient deities and wise masters of the spirit world and ask them for advice, both personal and societal. St Francis of Assisi, Patron of Animals for instance, or Aesclepius, Greek God of Health, can be asked a question pertaining to their speciality. Plato, Lao Tsu, Gandhi, founders of great empires, all are waiting in the spirit realms to impart advice for a better life, here, on Earth today, and for the protection of future generations.

In her book, internationally published by O Books ‘The Lightworkers Circle Guide – A Workbook for Spiritual Groups’ (£10.99) the author, Wendy Stokes, tells us that most religions began with a message from a deity or angel. Though most religions that began this way, they bar the methods that founded their faith. World religions generally pray to their deity and ask for help - but do not expect a reply. World religions, and the New Age movements alike, rarely address ecological and planetary issues, a plight that will be the major issue of future generations. Lightworker Circles seek to access meaningful messages from the spirit realms about wisdom, caring, justice, peace, truth, compassion and sustainability.

These Lightworker Circles are meeting places of spiritual healing, creativity and inspiration, a moment of calmness in a busy day, a time for ‘togetherness’, enjoyment of the group process and learning from it, such as increasing sensitivity, awareness, caring, commitment and dedication. Activities, suited to a spiritual group are suggested in the book, such as clearing the space with rattles and bells, setting up an altar space with candles, incense, flowers, statues and other objects, relaxation, meditation and, at the end of the meeting, sharing insights and inspiration.

For those who would like to record their experiences and messages, Wendy Stokes would like to support the venture with a blog, website, newsletter or ebook and, working alongside Trevor Mayes, has created The Lightworkers Circle Hub on The New Age Blog site to assist budding lightworkers.
