Follow on Google News | Chivas Regal and Republiq: A Brotherhood With A CauseChivas Regal, partnered with Republiq, Manila’s undisputed destination for entertainment and upmarket socialization, for a night of charitable celebration last August 24.
By: JM Conopio The very successful celebration for a cause was a launching event to raise funds for the less fortunate youth of the Manila Boystown Complex. The 64-year old organization houses and cares for abandoned or abused boys, ranging from 8-16 years of age. Chivas Regal, a world-renowned brand which represents brotherhood in all forms, looks to assist the formation of these young boys and ensure that they become future upstanding and honorable men. Marc Rosales, the Marketing Manager of Pernod Ricard Philippines Inc, shared his words of support and encouragement for the cause, and awarded the Manila Boystown Complex an initial donation on behalf of Chivas Regal. The financial pledge was received by the officer-in-charge of Manila Boystown Complex, Florentina Porras. Apart from this pledge, Republiq owner and social icon Tim Yap echoed the importance of giving more to those who have much less, announcing that all Chivas Regal sales from the same night will go towards purchasing educational tools, shoes, and basic medicines for the Manila Boystown Complex. Guests flocked to purchase bottles and joined this unique movement of brotherhood. Lending their talents for the philanthropic cause, were three of music industry’s biggest stars: Champ Lui Pio of Hale, the ageless Jet Pangan of The Dawn, and the iconic Ely Buendia of Pupil, who all brought the house down with their renditions of powerful songs in collaboration with one of Manila’s most sought-after DJs, DJ Funk Avy. For the rest of the night, the stars, celebrities, and VIP guests celebrated the spirit of brotherhood and selflessness, as every purchase of Chivas Regal guaranteed a better future for the underprivileged boys of Manila Boystown Complex.
