Nov. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- It seems that 2011 is a year for smart phones. Mobile phones companies have been busy releasing one model after another. With all the Android phones that have been dominating the market, HTC Corp. is not to stay behind the game with their new HTC Titan.

HTC Titan plans to give customers the wow factor with its massive display screen of 4.7. These phones are housed in a carbon black aluminum casing with dimensions of 131.5 x 70.7 x 9.9 mm. The rear side has a matte surface while the front features a glossy touchscreen.  HTC Titan weighs heavier at 160g compared with competing smart phones that have been recently launched. However, the phone compromises its bulkiness with the sleek and slim design it offers. These phones retain the rounded edges of its predecessor, the HTC HD7, to maximize comfort.

HTC Titan has some upgrades when it comes to speed and resolution. Viewing images and loading applications are quicker with the 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The phone offers 512 RAM and a storage capacity of up to 16GB.
The model is the first phone to carry the Windows 7 flagship. This operating system for phones are designed to give a silky smooth streaming of web services like popular social networking sites, cloud computing, as well as messaging systems. Multitasking is another feature that the Windows Phone Mango will give to HTC Titan users. Switching and going back to applications is possible without the need for a restart. Another thing worth mentioning in HDC Titan is its distinctively styled menus that users can personalize to suit their needs.

Browsing the internet is made possible in the Titan with the integration of Internet Explorer 9. Users can send e-mails and manage their contacts list via linked inboxes.

HTC Titan will delight users with its 8 MP resolution camera located at the backside and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. Taking pictures can be an issue when it comes to mobile phones since users have to unlock first the phone. HTC Titan addresses this by including a separate camera button. Environments with low lighting can still be captured realistically with the back illuminating sensor of the phones. For better panoramic shots, HTC Titan has an application that makes a line appear on the phone screen to guide users in producing seamless images. Shooting high density videos at 720p is possible with the f/2.2 aperture lens. Moreover, users could also have the model preloaded with the chat application Tango.

The quality of the sound when making phone calls in the Titan is not bad. Calls are clear and a speaker phone is available via a simple press and hold action. HTC Titan provide users contact storage capacity of up to 10,000 entries which can be customized via pictures, ringtones and additional information such as birthday, e-mail, and others.

Using the phone for long periods is not a problem with the Titan. This model sports a 1600 mAh Li-ion battery that can last for 11.83 hours continuous talk-time and 360 hours during standby.

Smart phone fans have a lot to anticipate in the Titan. Truly, these phones are not only big in size but also when it comes to features.
