OPI’s Varnishs Inspired By the Muppets

Nov. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- This holiday season, OPI (the L.A.-based nail polish company with strange names attached to each bottle of nail varnish) pays homage to America's favourite Muppet friends as they hit the big screen in Disney's The Muppets. The family comedy opens in theatres on November, the exact time when OPI, as a tie-in to the forthcoming movie, is launching its 12 limited-edition nail varnishes.

OPI has created collections based on everything from the Kardashians to Pirates of the Caribbean.

The collection includes classic and deep reds, two metallic shades and a slew of glittery polishes, including rainbow, red, purple, pink, blue and green. There is 'Gettin' Miss Piggy With It', a fuchsia inserted with over-the-top flecks of circle shaped glitter; 'Gone Gonzo', a glittery, but cool, icy blue; and 'Warm and Fozzy', a shimmer Champagne colour that pays homage to Fozzy bear.

The other varnishes are Excuse Moi, Fresh Frog of Bel Air, Rainbow Connection, Divine Swine, Designers De Better, Pepe's Purple Passion, Wocka Wocka, Meep Meep Meep, and Animalistic.

According to their release, "OPI is so excited to work with Disney to celebrate this long-awaited movie release."

"The Muppets characters inspire fun, bright and joyful colours, the fashionable Miss Piggy lends her name to three high-shine pink-based hues, ranging from bold red flecked with silver to a multi-dimensional strawberry shade." said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI's executive vice president and artistic director.
