Celtic Harpist/Vocalist Orla Fallon Performs at Chandler Center for the Arts Sunday, November 6th

Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Chandler, Arizona – October 31, 2011 – Chandler Center for the Arts proudly presents Celtic harpist and vocalist Orla Fallon on Sunday, November 6th and 3:00 p.m.  Tickets are $22, $28 and $36.  A winner of The International Feis Ceoil and International Pan Celtic Competition on two occasions, Fallon has recorded with legendary Irish group Clannad, as well as the choral group Anuna, before releasing her debut album. The Water is Wide premiered in the Billboard World Music Top Ten in the U.S.
Originally from County Wicklow in Ireland, Fallon credits her late grandmother for instilling in her a love of Irish music and Celtic culture.  Backed by an amazing band, Fallon creates a dynamic, high energy performance that engages the entire audience.  The experience showcases the evolution of traditional Irish into what has become known as the folk music of North America.
Fallon toured extensively in Europe, Africa and North America before being invited to join Celtic Woman for the group’s inaugural show in September 2004.  Since leaving the group, Fallon has released two solo albums and a DVD, My Land, which was recently featured on PBS.
“I never imagined in a million years,” says Fallon on her website, “that I would have been seen on public television over 14,000 times, have been a part of group that has sold more than four million CDs and DVDs, and now as a new solo artist, being on stage with the likes of The Dubliners and the amazing David Archuleta from American Idol. And recording with Grammy Award winners Vince Gill and Moya Brennan, all within the same year.”
