Inaugural Hope Music 5K Run/Walk a Huge Success

Clean Socks Hope adds inaugrual Hope Music Festival 5K Run/Walk to its annual event.

Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Clean Socks Hope Chairperson Jeff Minton announced today that the charity's inaugrual run event was a success, "The Hope Music 5K so exceeded our expectations," Minton said. "After a very cursory review from our team it is an absolute no-brainer that we'll add this to our annual line up." Clean Socks Hope is the charity behind the area's annual Hope Music Festival, an all day concert venue complete with local, regional and national Christian music artists.

A total of 87 runners participated in the course that ran along Riverside Drive in Jeffersonville (IN). River City Races helmed the event and it was sanctioned by USA Track & Field with its youngest competitor at age 6 and the race's oldest at 69.

Men's overall winner was David Mattingly of Louisville, (KY) and Brie Fleming of New Albany, (IN) rounded out the women's overall winner. For complete details including race results log on to or

Clean Socks Hope and The Hope Music Festival was founded in 2007, as a grass roots organization to raise awareness and donations for those in need in the Louisville Metro and Southern Indiana area. We also work to help defray operational costs of local shelters through volunteerism.
