Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Job Creation and Plant Expansion are Leading Indicators that Ford is Thriving

Ford has always been known as a vehicle corporation built on genuine American toughness, but they also back up that reputation by producing outstanding vehicles manufactured right here in the United States. Proof of this comes in the form of a Kansas City plant agreement that will bring approximately 1,700 new assembly jobs to the area. All of this is part of a $1.1 billion investment in American manufacturing by the Ford corporation. The deal will present new opportunities for economic and social growth in Liberty, Missouri specifically, as well as the Kansas City area at large. As a major metropolitan center in the U.S., strengthening Kansas City’s economy benefits more than just its residents. In this time characterized by shaky feelings about the health of the American automobile industry, this investment shows Ford’s confidence in America’s labor force and a dedication to keeping production on U.S. soil. Right now, River View Ford is prouder than ever to stock a great selection of all-new Ford vehicles at their northern Illinois dealership.

In Addition to Great F-150’s, New Ford Projects Arrive at Kansas City Plant

As part of the deal with Ford, the Kansas City plant will now manufacture even more of the Ford F-150, America’s best-selling pickup truck. The pickup with best-in-class towing, best-in-class payload, and great fuel efficiency will now be constructed in two shifts instead of one. This increase in shift work will add 800 Ford jobs to local workers. All of this extra labor is sure to guarantee that the F-150 will claim its record-breaking 35th straight year of being America’s favorite truck. With American consumers demanding greater production of this great vehicle, the Kansas City plant’s hard work is a much needed addition, and it supplements a U.S. workforce already set on raising the standards in quality and reliability.

In addition to the F-150, the Kansas City plant will also be starting  production on Ford’s Transit Van beginning in 2013. The Transit is a commercial vehicle used by many small businesses and is hugely popular in Europe. With its massive selling success, it is in high demand, and Kansas City employees are more than ready to step up production. The F-150 and Transit combine to make up one of the best selling pairs of vehicles in the entire world, and the production that sustains that popularity will find a significant new part of its home in Kansas City.

Ford is Moving Forward With Continuing Customer Satisfaction

The Kansas City plant is excited to get started on its new programs of production, and the governor of Missouri shares the enthusiasm. To read his comments on the project and get all the official details on the new plant. All in all, the investment by Ford is sure to stimulate the Kansas City-area economy, and job production like this is crucial as America moves forward financially. Ford is continuing to show why it embodies the American model of hard work and dedication.
