Barcelona - Barcelona - Spain

Oct. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Bétera Ediciones, Grupo Compás and Modigliani Axis have been awarded the prestiguous SerCompro Award for 2011.  The annual award recognizes rapid growth in medium-sized incorporated companies that have a turnover of up to 20 million euros in the most recent fiscal year.  Turnover growth is measured over a three-year period, similar to the League Tables published by Fast Track 100 in the United Kingdom.

Bétera Ediciones (Papelería Romeral, http://11870.com/pro/papeleria-el-romeral-libreria), Grupo Compás (http://www.valvula.es) and Modigliani Axis (http://blog-axis-finance.com/?tag=franco-modigliani) "stand in a class of their own in terms of growth", said SerCompro's Managing Director, Héctor Verbena Ortuño.  "Growing under adverse business conditions, such as those being experienced in Spain is challenging.  These 3 companies have met that challenge with over 25% average growth in 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11."

Fast Track 100 programme

The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 league table ranks Britain's 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales over their latest three years.
To view the latest league table select 'League table' in the left hand menu.

The companies are generally chosen according to these criteria:

**owned and run by entrepreneurs
**has between 50 and 250 staff
**has average 3 year sales growth ranging between 40% and 400% pa
**has sales ranging between 5m euros and 500m euros

Growth can be organic, through aquisitions and takeovers, but not mergers.

Despite the economic downturn, over the past three years the companies reviewed by SerCompro  increased sales on average 85% a year from a combined total of 700 million euros to 4 billion euros. They have created 10'000 new jobs and now employ 18'000 people.

The winners chipped in with some wisdom of their own: "Stop rushing it with customers over social media; play the long-game, and earn life-long customers and fans" says Elena Santamaria Sammartino, CEO of Modigliani Axis, a technology change-management firm.  "Your customers will stick with you, as long as you don't drown them in communication.  Customers want solutions, not just feel-good tweets."
