Saint Marie Records Signs Elektro-Shoegaze Band The FLIR

Saint Marie Records signs Elektro-Shoegaze band The FLIR with plans for their debut full length record in 2012. SMR has also signed Drowner and Lotte Kestner in recent weeks.
Oct. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- The FLIR are a Southern California based band with a sound that has been described as "dreamy guitar pop" and "elektro-shoegaze". With Female vocals that range from delicate to driving along with spiraling guitars, innovative beats and bass lines the FLIR have carved a unique niche for themselves with their distinctive sound.

The group consists of American musicians Mo Safder, Sal Giuliano, and newest member Joe Ibarra. All three members are involved in songwriting and production and are consistently on the look out for various session musicians and guest vocalists to collaborate with. The band is very excited to be the newest addition to SMR and has started working on their first full length record for a release tentatively set for sometime in mid 2012.

With the signing of The FLIR, the Saint Marie roster now includes nine acts with more planned for the near future. The label also expanded their reach with a UK and European distribution deal with ShellShock distribution. This on top of the distribution deal with Darla for the USA and SE Asia.
