PRLog -- Gurgaon, Haryana,-- The MBA Program team from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi, won the KiE Square-MBE National Analytics Case study Competition held at Delhi University's South Campus last Friday. The home team from MBE Delhi was runners up. Teams from Narsee Monjee Mumbai, Faculty of Management Science (FMS Delhi), IIT Delhi, NITIE and IIT Chennai made it to the final round of the two Stage Case study Competition initiated on 5th October that concluded as a Grand Finale in Delhi. The final case study organized and provided by KIE Square involved detailed analysis of a large insurance company from the US using demand forecasting and innovative risk scoring approaches, which caught the imagination of the participating teams.
Ms. Ena Khurana, Vice President (HR) KiE Square and also one of the judges in the event was of the opinion that such case studies really bring out a multifaceted solution approach among the management students especially as business analytics is one of the most advanced application area for management and economics graduates having quantitative orientation. Dr. Suresh Aggarwal of MBE and Dr. Kamaljit Anand, EVP (Analytics Delivery) KiE Square were the other judges of the event who appreciated the variety of solutions provided by the participants, however they encouraged the students to acquire practitioner's skills and trainings through a more industry oriented curriculum.
