Adams Homes' Elizabeth Porter named to Florida SMC (FHBA) Board of Trustees

Oct. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Elizabeth Porter was elected to the Florida Home Builders Association's Florida Sales & Marketing Council's (SMC) Board of Trustees after receiving multiple nominations.

The Florida Home Builders Association's Sales and Marketing Council was founded to help builders sell homes more effectively. The council offers educational opportunities, awards and recognition programs, and sales and marketing tools to its members.

The Council is dedicated to developing and promoting skills and professionalism in the sale and marketing of new homes through education, an interchange of ideas, recognition of outstanding achievement and community involvement. This strong united council serves as the catalyst to bind all components of the home building industry.

The Sales and Marketing Council has jurisdiction over all matters affecting sales and marketing professionals. The Committee interacts with the National Association of Home Builder's (NAHB) SMC leadership and staff.  The Council is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, elected by SMC members by ballot.

The Florida SMC's Mission & Goals are to: • Offer professional educational training through IRM, CSP (and other programs and designations approved by IRM and the NSMC through the University of Housing), speakers, special seminars and other programs. • Provide an effective forum for the exchange of ideas with local, regional, and national experts in the sales and marketing of new homes. • Recognize member’s professional achievements in sales and marketing excellence through a variety of awards programs. • Raise and publicly promote the level of council members’ professionalism and integrity. • Be responsible and responsive to the needs of the new home buying public and the markets served. • Act in cooperation with other industry related organizations to enhance communications, coordination of activities, legislative actions, community involvement and special projects. • Recruit, retain and reward members from all areas of the industry.

Elizabeth Porter has been with Adams Homes since 2001 and through numerous promotions is now the General Manager for Adams Homes in the Orlando Florida market overseeing sales, administration and construction for the Central Florida area.

Elizabeth Porter holds a Real Estate Broker’s license with the State of Florida.  In addition, Elizabeth has obtained her e-PRO certification through the National Association of Realtors and her designation of Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP) through the National Association of Home Builders.  She is an active member of the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando, the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.
