SWFL's Harley-Davidson Riders Edge Program Sees 1,000 Participants in 2011 Alone!
Riders Edge in Southwest Florida, operated out of Fort Myers Harley-Davidson and Naples Harley-Davidson, has seen 1,000 participants this year. Riders Edge is a motorcycle safety course.
Riders Edge® is a rider education course and the local course, operated by Fort Myers Harley-Davidson and Naples Harley-Davidson, was recently named the best in the country. The locations, owned by Scott Fischer Enterprises, were named the best out of 176 programs nationwide based on the number of students they continually have and successfully graduate.
A Harley-Davidson corporate program, their annual average previously was around 800 participants. The course is $249 and consists of three classroom sessions of 3.5 hours each, and two 5-hour sessions riding motorcycles on the range. Upon completion participants receive a motorcycle endorsement for their driver’s license.
Four classes are offered weekly via both dealerships with morning and evening times available. Actual riding course time is coordinated at the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track in Bonita Springs.
