World Reknowned Fantasy Artist, Lisa Iris, Unveils Two New Paintings

Oct. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Lisa is currently creating a new series of acrylic paintings entitled "The Ruling Planets". Steeped in myth and alive with lore, she is beginning this series with Zeus/Jupiter, the cornerstone of the Greco/Roman pantheon. Zeus has now been released to the public. This new painting is awe inspiring and will leave art lovers wanting to see more in the ruling planets series of paintings. Quoting Lisa Iris: "Zeus is an electric depiction of power and the inception of The Ruling Planets. Like Zeus, each painting in this series will stand on its own and combine as a cosmic panorama."

While she is busy working on this new series she took a departure to create a commissioned work entitled 'Fuji-san'.  A breath taking example of Mt. Fuji in Japan. This new landscape is stunning and will become a standard amongst art lovers worldwide. Quoting Lisa Iris: "I took a vacation from The Ruling Planets by way of Mount Fuji. A commission for a wedding present, "Fuji-san" is a heartfelt impression of a subject that defies capturing. The ephemera of blossoms and drifting clouds frame an indomitable presence of cerulean and white. The key to this landscape is what you carry with you on the pilgrimage."
