Oct. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Savage, Minn. – Titus Contracting LLC design manager Scott Rajavuori spoke today about the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Lead-Safe Certification Program, in which his company is certified.

“It’s a great certification to have,” Rajavuori said. “Being Lead-Safe Certified enables Titus Contracting to help businesses figure out if they have a problem with lead, which can be a serious health hazard.”

Research has shown lead exposure can harm young children and babies, and improperly removing lead-based paint can increase the risks.

“We have the training to properly remove lead-based paint,” Rajavuori said. “Titus Contracting has helped many businesses and families remove this danger from their properties.”

Rajavuori said his company, based in Savage, Minn., has had the certification for quite some time, and that having the certification enables Titus Contracting to fix lead-based hazards in a professional and efficient manner.

“We can eradicate the problem and remove this threat from buildings,” Rajavuori said. “The EPA program has provided us with the proper trainings necessary to do this kind of work, and this certification has greatly benefited us.”
