Oct. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- As the clock ticks steadily towards the Pension Regulator (www.thepensionregulator.gov.uk/) record-keeping guidance deadline, data continues to be a hot topic. Tracesmart, one of the UK’s leading data solution providers were prominent at both the Professional Pension Show and the NAPF Annual Conference to draw attention to the significance of maintaining quality data. Parading their new superhero marketing campaign along with their refreshed branding, Tracesmart raised considerable interest for data integrity amongst the events’ delegates made up from trustees, administrators and other pension professionals.

Tracesmart’s pension tracing (www.tracesmartcorporate.co.uk/pension-tracing/) service delivery is of high significance to the industry due to the influence and impending deadline of tPR’s record-keeping guidance; the service allows schemes to continually stay up-to-date with changes in members’ circumstances. Employing constantly updated information, pension schemes stakeholders are able to safeguard the integrity of their data, mitigate fraudulent activity and benefit from improved communication with their members.
Mike Trezise, Tracesmart’s Managing Director, commented, “We’ve had a very successful exhibition season, our superhero campaign raised a great deal of interest as the importance of protecting and maintaining data was highlighted to existing and prospective clients alike. Despite the approaching deadline, it’s surprising the number of schemes that still need to tackle their data issues. The conference and exhibition season is crucial to raise awareness and understanding within the industry in addition to our direct interest of highlighting the importance of appropriate, clean and current data. We aim to be back again next year.”

During the conference season, Tracesmart invited attendees to participate in a survey which involved completing a questionnaire for a chance to win the new iPad 2. In response to the survey, Catherine Dunn, Client Relationship Manager remarked, “We received a sizeable and interesting reaction to our market research, and would like to thank everyone for their comments. The results have given us worthwhile insight into schemes’ requirements which enables us to develop and target our services accordingly.”

Feedback to surveys undertaken by Tracesmart (www.tracesmartcorporate.co.uk/) during recent pension industry exhibitions included the following: when asked about data accuracy, 31% of delegates responded that their data was ‘very accurate’, 29% said ‘accurate’ and 34% thought their data was about ‘average’, whereas 6% replied they had ‘poor data’ or ‘did not know’. Asked how prepared the delegates were for the tPR’s record-keeping guidance deadline, 30% responded they were ‘absolutely prepared’, 63% were ‘nearly there’, while 7% were ‘unprepared’.
