KLNE announces U.S.A. expansion plans
KLNE announces its plans for an office and warehouse in the U.S. and negotiations for a manufacturing facility.
The company is planning to open both an office and a warehouse and is in negotiations to establish a manufacturing facility in the U.S.A.
There are currently three locations under consideration for the office and warehouse, all currently being evaluated for a number of criteria.
Wison Qi, the Sales director for KLNE said, “Because of the time difference between China and the U.S.A. and the long shipping time, it makes good sense to have a presence here in the U.S.A. This will enable us to have staff working in the same time zone and give us the ability to provide units from the warehouse, greatly reducing the lead time to our customers.”
“For the warehouse, we are looking for an area with good distributions links. Tax rates and tax breaks vary from state to state and we are presently looking at three possible locations.”
He added, “We are also looking at a manufacturing facility here in the USA. Although labour costs are higher here, a US based facility would be useful in order to qualify for approval for federal agencies that are purchasing under the jurisdiction of the “Buy America Act”.
Talking about the expansion into the U.S., Lancy Yu, KLNE’s CEO said, “We are in the process of building a distributor sales and service network and already have some partners here in the U.S. We have met some very interested parties here at the exhibition and we are looking for more. It takes time to build up a network in a country as large as the U.S.A. but it is important that we start now, with our first exhibition here. We have learned a lot from visitors to our stand during this time, both about the U.S. market in general and the aspirations and requirements of wholesalers and distributors throughout the U.S. and we will be building this information into our sales and marketing strategy.”
