All Around Hounds Comeback Begins At Jen's Place In Meridian

Daniel Sharp and David Lauderdale, the Mississippi natives who combine to form All Around Hounds, are set to make their comeback Saturday, October 29th at 9PM at Jen's Place grand opening and Halloween Party in historic Meridian, Mississippi.

Oct. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Philadelphia, Mississippi songwriters Daniel Sharp and David Lauderdale began their musical journey together in 2005. After performing in numerous five and six piece bands, including Mississippi New Red Sand and Killface Johnny, they founded the well known unplugged act, All Around Hounds. The years since this formation have seen the Hounds blazing their chosen path, creating and performing original music across the South and staying active in numerous other projects. While performing in these other groups, they also kept All Around Hounds going by making records and playing live when the time and place were right, mostly at charity events for organizations like The United Way and hometown events like the Magnolia Music Festival.

Daniel and David are the core members of All Around Hounds but their two man show naturally lends itself to others performing with the band. On any given night musicians like Amy Lott, Andy Stewart, Chris Ethridge, Ben Hardy, Adam Wade, and Adam Box, among others, can all make surprise appearances as All Around Hounds.

Daniel Sharp explains some of the motivation for starting the band, "We named the band All Around Hounds in part because we wanted the opportunity to play with a lot of different musicians that we know and respect. The Hounds lineup is based on diversity and musical merit. All Around Hounds is a family of traveling Gypsy Poet Warriors suited for the big stage as well as the corner bar stool. Many of us have sacrificed everything for our lady music, her dividends to be paid out in pain and glory depending on the night."

Sharp continued, "The stars have lined up for us in Meridian at the grand opening of Jen's Place this Saturday, October 29th. This is our first show back in Meridian in nearly two years and I couldn't be more pleased and excited about it. We love to play close to home to a crowd of fellow dreamers and I hope Logan Comby of Meridian's own Dark Sundays will grace us with a surprise appearance during our set on Saturday. Bangarang!"

Jen's Place is located at 1900 Front St in historic downtown Meridian, Mississippi. They have daily breakfast and lunch specials with takeout service available. For more information call 601.553.3500 or visit their website at http://www.jensplacenow.com
