Follow on Google News | Grand Opening of The Sack Artist.com, Your 1st Home For Useless Personal HumorAmerica's 7,300,292nd favorite blogger, The Sack Artist, welcomes you all to the grand opening of his new website (thesackartist.com), which actually opened in January. Hey...timing is everything.
By: Zachary Poelker No newcomer to trying (and failing) to be hilarious, personal blogger Zachary Poelker has logged over 1 million words of internet comedy since 2009…or something like that. And now he is coming at you from his own personal website, thesackartist.com, which actually started approximately 9 months ago. Hey this is the internet, and timing is everything, right? “I’ve read what I’ve written, and it’s quite shocking…even for the internet,” says Editor-n-Chief Poelker (aka the Sack Artist himself). “And yes that is a quote from The Office, which should show you the creativity and fresh content that I bring to the site on a regular basis.” As a Junior at Beloit College, Poelker started his patent “The Sack Artist: Jack of All Trades” blog in the spring of 2009 as a way to show off his incredible penchant for gluttony and to ensure himself of never being able to get a real job. Now, with over 200 page views in the past month alone, Poelker has decided to take his descriptive writing to a whole new Internet level. “I’m announcing my presence to the world for a few expression purposes,” adds Poelker. “1-To kill racism as we know it, 2-So girls will like me, and 3-To make people of every color, creed, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation giggle at a few select pop culture references.” Poelker, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, is now living in Chicago where he is a graduate student in DePaul University’s Masters of Writing and Publishing Program. And he knows he’s probably bitten off more then he can chew. “There’s no shame in failing,” he says. “Believe me…I’d now.” See exactly what he’s talking about and visit http://www.thesackartist.com. # # # Personal blog that recounts and relives the most hysterical aspects of my life (both real and imagined) as well as my most hilarious thoughts/notions. Read and enjoy...sort of. End
