Modern Hardware Contributes to Habitat for Humanity:
Grand Rapids, Michigan – Modern Hardware is proud to partner with Habitat to help provide housing for those in need. “We support Habitat because we strongly believe in their mission”, Glupker stated. “We’re happy to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s a great way for our store to give back to the community.”

Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has built and rehabilitated simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner families. Habitat homes are sold to families at no profit and are financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are then used to build still more Habitat houses. In addition to a down payment and the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor-sweat equity-into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.

Modern Hardware is one of many Do it Best Corp. members nationwide who are working with their local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. Now through December 31st  2011, Modern Hardware in cooperation with Stanley, Stanley Bostich, Dewalt, Do-it-Best and NASCAR is having an in-store promotion to win a V.I.P.
