Follow on Google News | Scavenger Crawl Announces Partnership with BORP for November RaceRace will support the leading provider and promoter of accessible sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults with physical disabilities in the greater San Francisco Bay Area
By: Scavenger Crawl Scavenger Crawl events offer an opportunity to experience a jam-packed day of adventure, optional alcoholic beverages, and “Amazing Race-like” clues through various neighborhoods in beautiful San Francisco. Each bi-annual race benefits a different charity working to improve the daily lives of resident San Franciscans. This fall, we are proud to partner with BORP, to help support programs funding athletic programs for kids and adults with physical disabilities. Event participants’ BORP member Tony Lai states, "As a participant that’s loved competing in the race over the last few years, I’m incredibly excited to work with Scavenger Crawl to raise money for an organization close to my heart. BORP has allowed me to compete and grow for years, so bringing these two groups together is an awesome opportunity." During the Scavenger Crawl teams of 2-5 participants will have the opportunity to scour the San Francisco streets is search of clues, challenges while enjoying a couple drinks. The race is modeled off the popular television show that asks teams to race around the world in a finite amount of time. Scavenger crawlers will be given 4 hours to scour the streets of SF and finish first to win special prizes and everlasting glory. Racers are encouraged to bring MUNI passes because the race course will cover a good sized piece of the city. Smart phones, phone-a-friends and a good pair of running shoes are recommended. Teams can also gain points by donning costumes and signing up for the event early. Register today at www.ScavengerCrawl.org.
