The seminar complements leading business literature featured in the Ambrose Library. iBreakfast, the renowned entrepreneurship and venture capital exchange, provides a regular forum for entrepreneurs to connect with venture capitalists for funding. The iBreakfast pitch contest event, known as the “iEvening,” iBreakfast recently began including Ambrose seminar content at the iEvenings, so that the events not only facilitated start-up funding but also educated the entrepreneurs on techniques for leading their companies to growth. As a response to the burgeoning start-up scene in DC, Ambrose and iBreakfast committed to bring the new event format to DC. For the upcoming event, entrepreneurs from the DC area will be able to pitch their business plans to a panel of prestigious venture capitalists. As such, the event is the first of its kind in DC and seeks to bridge a gap between DC based entrepreneurs and venture capital firms from New York and elsewhere.
