Oct. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- If you are in the process of constructing a building or doing a major renovation to a home or office building, hot water, or hydronic heating, is a good alternative to consider.  In this type of system a series of pipes are placed under the flooring, and heat is provided by hot water that runs through those pipes.  In years past pipes were set into concrete during construction, but now it is possible to buy wood panels that have the pipes running through them.  This type of approach is much lighter in weight and is more flexible.  This solution gives people the option of installing hydronic heating after the house or building has been built during a major renovation.  There are a number of advantages to hydronic heating systems as opposed to forced air, which is the system of choice in most cooler climates.  First of all, there are no hot or cold spots in the rooms, which can be the case with forced air.  The heat rises uniformly from the ground up and covers an entire room.  The floor is obviously warm as well, as are all the pieces of furniture and other accessories in the room.  The building thus has a very comfortable feel to it.  In addition, there is no noise because there are no fans.  Finally, once the system is in place, operating costs are lower to heat the home or building.  Lots of information about home and office heating systems can be found at http://heatingdenver.org.
