Jazz singer Champian Fulton heads for European debut

Oct. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Spectra Jazz recording artist Champian Fulton has announced dates for a two-week engagement with the WDR Big Band of Cologne, Germany (November 14 through November 26th 2011).

The 26 year old jazz stylist has become a favorite among jazz presenters featured this  summer at the Xerox Rochester International, Litchfield Festival of Connecticut and the Detroit Jazz Festivals, respectively. In addition, she was invited for a stint at Club Piscopo of Atlantic City with Saturday Night Live alumnus Joe Piscopo.

Champian Fulton maintains a revolving schedule in the New York Tri-state area performing regularly at venues such as Birdland Jazz Club NY, Cleopatra's Needle, The Garage Restaurant and many others.

Ms. Fulton considers it an honor to perform with the award-winning WDR (West German Radio) Big Band. WDR Big Band collaborations are noted as being events with some of the best known artists in jazz.

Champian Fulton's CD "The Breeze and I"  (March 8, 2011) on the Spectra Jazz Label (Spectra Records) has received glowing notices from both jazz and pop critics with special praise and comparisons to traditional piano and vocal jazz legends such as Errol Garner, Art Tatum, Dinah Washington and Ella Fitzgerald.

The "Breeze and I" is distributed in retail stores, as well as iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody digital outlets.
