Oct. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Green Screen International Film Festival Society is committed to showing our fantastic movies and video trailers to as many people as possible.  A spokesperson for green screen said they figured that it was worth making extraordinary efforts on behalf of Mother Earth.

One of the things that Green Screen hopes people will realize after seeing some of our movies and videos is that there are people quite prepared to lay down their lives to protect Mother Earth and our precious environment.   The jurors have stated that they  have been incredibly moved by what one individual is prepared to do when they know that what they are doing is the right thing to do for everyone.  It is unfortunate that too often we see the opposite approach to our role as stewards of this magnificent planet.  It appears that as long as it makes money or provides wealth to a few than the potential damage is ignored or swept under the covers.

Just one example is the film called: The Man Who Stopped the Desert.  One poorly educated man just started planting and taking care of trees in one of the most arid parts of Africa. But Yacouba's struggle is not simply an agricultural story, it is pure drama. He not only had to battle the desertification that is sweeping Africa but man as well. But thanks to this one’s man conviction and courage there is now the potential to benefit many thousands living in the Sahel region of Africa.  What Yacouba has done to turn arid desert into an oasis of crops and farmland can now be done by others.

Then there are the Coral Gardeners of Fiji.  Dedicated to keeping and protecting the precious coral these divers  are showing the way to replenish coral and fish stocks around the world  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N26woPiOmU
