ICAA names Don Gronachan to its ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board

Oct. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- VANCOUVER, B.C--The International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), an association that supports professionals who develop wellness and fitness facilities and services for age 50-plus adults, is pleased to appoint Don Gronachan, Director, Physical Medicine Sales, to the ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board. ICAA looks to leading figures in the active-aging industry to guide the association as the industry continues to grow and evolve. As an ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board Member, Gronachan will play an important role in helping to steer the association in its operations and in its role as active-aging leader. He will also participate in ICAA 2020, an initiative set up to create a vision for the future of the active-aging industry. He will be working with ICAA members and the ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board to identify priority actions that ICAA can facilitate.

Don Gronachan, Director, Physical Medicine Sales, oversees the market development of the Biodex mobility-specific equipment for the senior and general rehabilitation markets. Don has played a key role in tracking the needs of this diverse population for Biodex which has resulted in new technology development to reduce falls, improve mobility and increase balance awareness. “I am very aware of the growing need to service this segment of the population. I am thrilled to be part of an organization that will bring much needed best practices and change to the way people age and are rehabilitated in the future,” stated Gronachan. Don looks forward to working with other members of the ICAA Business Partners Advisory Board in the coming year to guide the association.
