Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey Celebrates Girl Scout Centennial in the Cloud

Oct. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Coming soon to a computer screen near you:  Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey celebrates 100 years of service and leadership with some of today’s influential women who include business owners, authors, CEOs, and well known personalities.  Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey presents the “Centennial Speakers” webinar series. The webinars are free for all registered Girl Scout Heart of New Jersey Members and will occur the third Wednesday of each month through June 2012.  Information about program registration and or becoming a Girl Scout can be found at www.gshnj.org.

The first installment of the groundbreaking series premiered Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m. and was hosted by Donna Maria, the founder and CEO of the Indie Beauty Network, a nationwide trade organization for small manufacturers of handmade soaps, cosmetics, perfumes, jewelry, candles, aromatherapy products and confectionery items.

Donna’s conversation included key topics for woman business leaders of tomorrow such as confidence, collaboration and the utilization of social media to build a strong business network.

“Donna Maria was the perfect keynote speaker to launch our series.  We wanted to create a comprehensive webinar series that builds girls of courage, confidence and character, the three key components of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience,” said Meaghan Whitesides, Program Specialist for Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, one of the creators of the series. “It is important to provide the opportunity for girls to engage with successful, real-life role models.”
