Sundial Group is taking stock of another award winning year with a total of five new awards

Oct. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- The meeting venue and conference hotel specialist has seen its properties recognised by both the meetings and leisure industries with prestigious awards from BDRC Continental, TripAdvisor and EnjoyEngland bestowed upon Highgate House, Barnett Hill and Woodside in the last twelve months.

Sundial’s Warwickshire meeting venue, Woodside and Surrey meeting venue, Barnett Hill were both recognised in the recent BDRC Continental VenueVerdict survey for the third quarter of 2011. Both venues achieved the coveted ‘Gold Standard Venue’ accreditation in the poll of more than 300 UK Conference venues and internationally renowned hotel chains.

Sundial was also recognised as the ‘top value for money’ UK venue group by BDRC Continental, reflecting its pricing commitment across all three of its country house properties. Having first been named as the best value for money provider in 2008, Sundial Venues has now posted a trio of successive honours in the category following this latest survey.

One location certain of requiring an extension to its trophy showcase in 2012 is Northamptonshire meeting venue and top UK conference hotel, Highgate House. The stunning 17th century country house is set in 26 acres of gardens and grounds in the heart of Northampton. It boasts 34 dedicated conference, meeting and syndicate rooms and 97 individually decorated traditional and contemporary bedrooms.

The property started 2011 on a high, having been named the ‘UK’s Number One Venue’ by BDRC Continental. It followed this nod with a globally-recognised TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence’ for ‘excellent’ accommodation reviews and was then named the Best Business Tourism Establishment in the UK by the EnjoyEngland Awards for Excellence.

This clutch of awards was followed by a third successive ‘Number One Hotel in Northampton’ title, as voted by TripAdvisor Reviewers. Finally, The Terrace Restaurant was named a finalist in the Northamptonshire Food and Drinks Awards’ ‘Restaurant of the Year’ category. Highgate House’s Head Chef, Lee Gaskin was also recognised, taking home the 'Booker Chef of the Year' award.
