Oct. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Tulsa, Ok, October 19, 2011:  Turn Tulsa Pink is a countywide effort to honor and support all the women and children in local communities, businesses, and families who have battled or lost their battle to cancer. Turn Tulsa Pink has included Cancer Sucks as one of the designated charities and on October 22nd the charity will host a Car and Motorcycle Show at The Admiral Twin Drive In.

Cancer Sucks is honored to have been chosen as one of the charitable organizations and proud to be part of en event that realizes all cancer sucks. The organization has made arrangements to present two research facilities with donations for research to set the tone for a great week in Tulsa. The research department at Oklahoma State University (Tulsa) will receive a $10,000.00 donation for research to be used in Uterine Cancer Research. The Children’s Hospital at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center will receive a $10,000.00 donation for cancer research to be used in the study of genetics. We have received confirmation that at least $10,000.00 will be matched which will bring the total amount donated to $30,000.00.  Donations are made possible through several Cancer Sucks fundraising efforts including The Annual Woody Brown Poker Run and Turn Tulsa Pink.

Participants in the car and bike show are being asked for a $20.00 donation and the first 50 registered will receive a free event t-shirt. The general public is encouraged to be part of this event that will include live music, vendors, door prizes and much more. Admission is $5.00 per carload, just like the good old days at the drive in! Cancer Sucks  is still accepting door prize items, vendors, and show participant registrations through the website at www.CancerSucks.com. Contact Jennifer at tulsapinkcarshow@aol.com or 918-698-6392 for more information.
