Horizons for Homeless Children hires new Chief Financial Officer
New CFO Chris Wilbur joins Horizons for Homeless Children as the agency's Chief Financial Officer.
A Millbury native, Wilbur earned his undergraduate degree from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH in 1994 and his MBA from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA shortly thereafter. He then held positions at KMPG, Cotelligent, Burns and Levinson, and the Berkshire Farm Center and Services, a non-profit organization for youth in New York.
Wilbur, who serves on the Board of Directors at Boston Centers for Youth and Family and the Millbury Soccer and Basketball Clubs, is excited about working towards HHC’s mission of improving the lives of Massachusetts’
“I have four children of my own, and HHC’s mission really hit home for me,” Wilbur said. “No matter what their background, kids deserve the very best start in life. HHC is giving opportunities to these young children, and I’m excited to be a part of that.”
The agency’s President and CEO, Åsa Fanelli, said Wilbur’s hire will greatly benefit Horizons for Homeless Children.
“Chris comes to Horizons for Homeless Children with exceptional financial and nonprofit experience, and, just as importantly, a passion for helping children,” Fanelli said. “Chris will be an important asset in our continued efforts to enrich the lives of the young homeless children of Massachusetts.”
