After speaking with one of the river guides we learned about the exciting two hour guided trip through the Smokey Mountains.  “We have some interesting descriptive names for certain parts of the river,” she told us. “Our class III rapids are called Power House, Too Late, Vegematic, Razor blade and After Shave. If those are not adventurous enough for you, even more exciting are our class IV rapids: Lost Guide, Double Reactionary, and Accelerator.  You will get to ride the rapids and have a chance to relax and swim if you wish in some of the flat water.

Earlier this summer, Outdoor Adventures had their first Charity Doggie Rafting Event with all proceeds going to the Newport Animal Shelter.  Each dog wore a professionally designed doggie life jacket and each owner had a professionally styled human life jacket. The dogs and their owners were treated to a one hour ride across mild white water and there was even a place to everyone to get out and ‘paddle around’.
