Oct. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, NV -  This will be an unprecedented gathering of the world’s key technical leaders, including top Asian manufacturers, U.S. corporate executives, innovators, and academics from Japan, Korea, China, and the U.S.

This forum is an incomparable opportunity to learn the growing trends in lithium development and its markets, while networking and creating potential business partnerships. Attendees will hear from industry pioneers in chemical and thermal research, design, and automation.

The Shenzhen International Lithium-ion Battery Summit will provide special access to the experts who are revolutionizing the future of the lithium battery industry with vision, imagination, and innovative applications.

The international roster of speakers includes top executives from GM, Ford, Motorola, Sanyo, Sony, Panasonic, Beijing University of Science, Kyoto University, and global associations for renewable energy. Scientists from prestigious research institutes such as the Brookhaven National Laboratories, the Kentucky Argonne Battery Manufacturing Research Center, Shanshan Technology R&D Center, Argonne National Laboratory, and the Tianjin Institute of Power Source are also scheduled to speak.

The Summit offers three full days of educational sessions with live multi-language interpretation headsets in a theater style setting. Averaging 20-30 minutes in length, each presenter will discuss their topic using supporting visuals, with breaks and lunch built into the daily planner. The fourth day has been set aside for a separate series of more in-depth tutorial lectures.

A diverse range of topics will be presented, including trends in battery design, materials, devices, changing industry standards, and an emphasis on Electric Drive Vehicles. An estimated 95 percent of the world’s lithium battery cells are produced in Asia, which has fostered other nations to step up their technology for participation in the coming milestones of rechargeable energy.

The summit will be held at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, located in the heart of this amazing city. There are many popular attractions in the Shenzhen Bay area, including a replication of the most interesting architectural sites of China, reflecting Chinese culture, art, and lifestyle.

Cost of the three-day forum is $1,200 per person, or $1,500 to include the Special Tutorial Lectures on Dec. 6. The Tutorial session only is $500. Students with a current ID pay half price.
