Pate Dawson Company Names Stansfield as President

Oct. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- GOLDSBORO, NC (Oct. 17, 2011) – Foodservice distributor Pate Dawson Company announced today that David Stansfield has been named president of the company. The announcement was made by company Chief Executive Officer Malcolm “Mac” Sullivan who said Stansfield’s appointment to the newly created position is effective immediately.

Stansfield joined the company in July 2010 and “has demonstrated great skills in developing many of the internal functions of our business and helping to build the Pate Dawson team,” said Sullivan.

Stansfield, a longtime veteran of the food distribution business, previously served as president of IFH and prior to that was with Kraft/Alliant Foodservice where he progressed from sales to president of several operating units. He has served on the boards of directors of the International Foodservice Distributors Association and UniPro as well as the North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association. Stansfield is also an outside director of VIP Foodservice in Hawaii.

Pate Dawson Company, one of the largest family-owned distributors in the country, operates distribution centers in Goldsboro and Greensboro, NC, and in Atlanta, GA. The company serves operators in seven states.

Sullivan will continue his current role both with Pate Dawson as well as Meat and Seafood Solutions (Southern Foods).
