Peggy Gaffney teaches cutting edge style at Stitches East in Hartford, Oct. 22

Oct. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Connecticut author/design Peggy Gaffney appears to be ahead of the trend with her collection of Kanine Knits sweater designs. According to “Stylehive”, a blog about the latest trends in fashion, there is a “Trend Alert – Animal Face Sweaters” enjoyed by celebrities such as Heidi Klum and found in the collections of such notables as Balenciaga with price tags of $1,000.00.
   Designer Gaffney, who has been creating pets on sweaters designs since 1995, will be demonstrating to knitters the Intarsia technique of creating picture sweaters when she speaks at the Stitches East Knitting Convention that will take place from October 20 – 23 at the Connecticut Conference Center in Hartford.
   The Intarsia Demonstration is scheduled for Saturday at 1:30. The conference is open to the public and the demonstration is available to all attendees. Knitter can learn how to be on the cutting edge of style and have fun doing it.
   Peggy Gaffney is the author of nine intarsia knitting books for Kanine Knits Books. These include books with designs for seven dog breeds, one on cats and her latest on llamas and alpacas. She is also the designer of more than 100 patterns. She will be available at the Kanine Knits booth (725) throughout the show to autograph her books and meet her fans.
