Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau Wins 16th Pinnacle Award

Oct. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- The Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau has been selected as a recipient of the 2011 Pinnacle Award, presented by Successful Meetings magazine. This is the 16th time the Metropolitan Tucson CVB has received this recognition. Recipients are selected by corporate and business associate meeting planners based on outstanding service to meetings, incentive travel programs, trade shows and conventions during the previous year.

"Ours is a world-class team and we are so proud to be recognized for the hard work and talent that has allowed us to set the bar for customer service, cohesion, and efficacy in the destination management field."

The MTCVB is the liaison between tour operators and meeting planners and its 600+ partnership of businesses in Tucson and Southern Arizona. The Bureau's efforts support the Tucson and Southern Arizona region's $2.5 billion hospitality industry, which generates approximately 6.7 million overnight visitors annually, and sustains roughly 22,300 jobs in direct employment.
