Neal Communities Serves Up Support For Venice High School Volleyball

Oct. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Southwest Florida – Neal Communities has donated $1300 to the Venice High School Volleyball program. The funds will be used for equipment, software, and other needs of the team. The Lakewood Ranch-based home builder is now actively building in three communities in Venice.

Pat Neal first became aware of the team’s need from Bill Waddill, of the design firm Kimley-Horn and Associates. Waddill’s daughter, Abigail, plays on the Venice freshman team. “We like to support the causes that are important to our trade partners. They represent the people who live here and are active in their neighborhoods,” explains Neal Communities’ President, Pat Neal. “There’s no better way to help a community than by supporting its schools and creating jobs. We are so glad to be a part of Venice life.”

The prominent, Class 7A Venice volleyball program is consistently ranked near the top in the state. “We have lost only two home matches since 2001. This gym is the second hardest for visitors to play in the Country!” boasts Venice High Head Coach, Brian Wheatley.

“The coaches are phenomenal. They teach life lessons, not just the sport,” says Tonya Price, mother of volleyball players Faith and Hope. “Whatever you do, do it 100%. And you build your winning with practice.”

The 2011 volleyball season is August 23- November 15.
