| Continuing education and networking opportunities for Social Workers in health care settingsThe National Association of Social Workers, North Carolina Chapter will present the 2011 Annual Fall Conference taking place at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina on November 18-19.
By: Valerie Arendt Social Workers who provide individuals, families, and groups with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses are invited to attend the track of workshops specifically designed for their practice needs. Thirteen hours of continuing education are available, including four hours of social work ethics. Social Workers in health care can also enjoy the networking lunch available to them as well as browse through a career fair. The Fall Conference is a meeting for the entire Social Work profession. Everyone from the social work student to the Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice can benefit from the presentation offerings. The Fall Conference is designed to focus on professional development, social worker physical and mental self-care, alternative practices and therapies, as well as issues related to the practice of social work in general.
