Books on the House offers innovative way for authors to promote their books

Oct. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- What's not to love about getting something for nothing?  Everybody loves free books.  That's where Books on the House comes in.  The innovative website has been in operation for more than a year.  In total, the featured authors have given away hundreds of books.  From New York Times best sellers Sarah Addison Allen, Lori Wilde, MJ Rose, Ridley Pearson, and Allison Brennan to indie authors like the up and coming Tonya Kappes, the breadth of authors who have featured their books on the site is mind boggling.  

What makes Books on the House work?  "We offer publisher spotlights, ad space, and the opportunity for authors to have their books featured for a week at a time, all at an affordable price.  Their books are the stars," says site owner Misa Ramirez, "and the audience is there, waiting to see what's going to be featured next.  It's a win-win for both authors and readers."

With multiple packages to choose from, there is a featured week to fit every budget, including Skype interviews, a fun way to put a face and voice to a favorite author.  As digital and indie books become more prevalent, finding details about any one in particular is like finding a needle in a haystack.  Books on the House is a way for authors to reach an audience of book lovers, and for readers to discover exciting new books.

The goal of Books on the House is to bring books and readers together. The authors featured donate copies of their books to be sent to randomly selected winners at the end of their featured week.
