Oct. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Cause Layouts™, the first and only free Facebook layouts that provide charities with Cause-Based Social Media Fundraising™ tools, is giving back to both charities and supporters this month. In addition to its October contest that will reward one lucky supporter with a $1,000 prepaid Visa card just for selecting his or her favorite charity layout, the company is also giving back to charities who garner at least 10,000 downloads of their free Cause Layout. Once a supporter downloads a Cause Layout, the graphically enhanced background immediately appears on the outer edges of his or her Facebook profile page. For every original download of a Cause Layout, the company has been donating $1 to the selected charity. Now, once a charity’s Cause Layout obtains a minimum of 10,000 downloads in a 30-day period, Cause Layouts will increase its donation to $2 per download, equaling a minimum donation of $20,000.

“At no cost to the charity or the user, Cause Layouts is helping charities reach new levels of awareness and raise funds without changing their everyday social networking habits,” said Monish Ahuja, president, Cause Layouts. “Traditionally, causes have Facebook pages that don’t get the attention they deserve. Cause Layouts allows these organizations to proactively reach supporters – and their entire network – every time the log on to Facebook to share news, activities, fundraisers and events.”

To take advantage of the Cause Layouts donation program, charities may visit and submit their information. Currently, at no cost to non-profit organizations, Cause Layouts designs and develops customized Facebook layouts to generate exposure and drive donations directly from supporters’ Facebook profile pages. Cause Layouts also provides marketing consulting support to charities to effectively promote their Cause Layout to the more than 13 million Facebook users already accessing the technology.

In addition, Cause Layouts allows supporters to customize the appearance of their profile, stay in-the-know on their favorite charity’s activities and events, and share the cause they support with other Facebook friends. To enter the $1,000 Cause Layouts Choose Your Cause Contest, participants simply register online at with their name and email and choose their favorite cause. After submission, participants will have the option to download the Cause Layout of their choice for free.
