InfoSec Reviews Awards Announced for 2011

Oct. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- The editors of InfoSec Reviews (http://www.infosecreviews.com), a book review website publishing professional information security books reviews and commentary, has announced a brand new annual awards service that will start with nominations being opened up for public vote over the coming months. John Hughes, CEO of InfoSec Reviews, says, “We will be announcing the winners in the various categories at Infosecurity Europe in 2012, along with a couple of other awards, such as for best publisher and best editorial team. These awards will be an annual affair and from 2012 we expect to expand the scope to include various other product and service categories.”

InfoSec Reviews will be awarding the prizes to the various publishers and authors during the April 2012 Infosecurity Europe industry trade show where they hope to meet with a number of the suppliers, publishers and authors they have reviewed since the company’s inception earlier this year. Training vendors, product vendors, and website owners will not be nominated this year as the site has primarily focused on book reviews during its first six months of operation; however, as these review services ramp up over the first and second quarters of 2012 InfoSec Reviews is expected to go from strength to strength.

In closing, Hughes said, "With over 2500 hits a month, and this is growing month on month, especially on a limited advertising budget, it's great to see that what we are obviously hitting the sweet spot in terms of a service that the information security community needed. We intend to be around for the long haul."
