Vancouver Fashion Week Announces Venue For VFW SPRING/SUMMER 2012
Masik Studios, the showroom for internationally-celebrated Canadian artist Pamela Masik, will host this season’s VFW Spring/Summer 2012 shows
Masik Studios is an impressive 14,000 sqft space located in downtown Vancouver. This rare warehouse studio is home to Masik’s private collections, and in keeping with Vancouver Fashion Week’s commitment to support local and emerging talent, it will serve as the perfect background to showcase VFW Spring/Summer 2012’s international exhibiting designers.
“Pamela Masik is one of the most prominent emerging Canadian artists of our time,” says Vancouver Fashion Week’s founder, Jamal Abdourahman. “Her work is innovative and so gorgeous, and since her studio is so beautiful and can accommodate our immense productions and audiences, we feel it’s the perfect fit for our upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 shows.”
VFW Spring/Summer 2012 is scheduled to run from November 1st – 6th, 2011, and already includes a lineup of emerging international designers from Canada, Poland, Mexico, Korea, Brazil, Germany, India, Ireland, and more.

Every year since 2001, emerging international fashion designers present their latest collections with Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) in Vancouver, BC Canada.
Founded by producer JamalAbdourahman, VFW has grown to showcase fashion designers from around the globe, and international media coverage including Le Monde, The Guardian, Elle Canada, Flare and Sina. 2010 attendees includedHollywood stars such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, as well as Canadian music giants Sam Roberts and Alanis Morrisette.
In April 2011, VFW was proclaimed Vancouver’s official fashion week by its Mayor, Gregor Roberts.
