Since its launch in 1957, Joseph Ribkoff has evolved from a time when women’s fashion was undergoing a revolution to a successfully established global outlook comprised of a network of talented corporate sales representatives, distributors, and agents who serve national and international markets. Although an already competitive industry, Joseph Ribkoff sets the precedent by meeting the demand for over 40 international markets.
All clothing is designed, sewn, and produced in Quebec, Canada, a remarkable feat that separates Joseph Ribkoff from the rest as one of the leading exporters in the Canadian fashion industry.
About Vancouver Fashion Week
Founded by producer Jamal Abdourahman, Vancouver Fashion Week has been world-wide renowned since its launch in 2001. Taking place bi-annually during spring and fall, the week focuses on celebrating both local and international designers, and emerging talent. VFW has grown to showcase fashion designers from around the globe, and international media coverage including Le Monde, The Guardian, Elle Canada, Flare and Sina. 2010 attendees included Hollywood stars, such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, as well as Canadian music giants Sam Roberts and Alanis Morrisette.
In April 2011, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Roberts proclaimed VFW Vancouver’s official fashion week.
