New Sri Lankan Show For South Asia's Vibrant Hotel And Hospitality Industry

Oct. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- The first edition of Hotel Hospitality & Food Sri Lanka is set to open its doors from 27-29 October 2011 at Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre, Colombo. The show has been launched to serve South Asia’s rapidly expanding Hotel, Hospitality and Tourism sector.

The show is organised by Montgomery Worldwide and Pico Events of Sri Lanka. Montgomery Worldwide is an associate company of Fresh RM in the UK, organisers of leading European hospitality event Hotelympia, Pico is a global leader in experiential marketing services.

To be held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre in Colombo, Hotel Hospitality & Food Sri Lanka has attracted exhibitors from the heart of the industry and an impressive list of official support organisations and corporate sponsors.  This reflects the Sri Lanka Government’s call to achieve a target of 36,000 new hotel rooms to welcome 2.5m guests by 2016.  A surge in tourist arrivals and development starts this year supports this ambition.

A prestigious Salon Culinaire staged by the Chef’s Guild of Sri Lanka will ensure huge professional interest from local chefs.  The winning hotel team will travel toLondonin February next year to participate asSri Lanka’s representative in the Salon Culinaire at Hotelympia London, one of Europe’s leading Hospitality Shows organised byMontgomerysubsidiaryFreshRM.
