By: Swartzmiller An original Swartzmiller will be easy to identify, authenticate, and impossible to forge.Artist Swartzmiller, who cuts his own hair, said “ I was thinking of a way to guarantee the originality of my paintings and the hair in the sink gave me the answer one day.” He further stated, “I was thinking about the vast number of Picasso forgeries, some sort of DNA coding and Van Gogh’s ear, but thought better that hair was the painless 21st century solution.” A self taught artist, Swartzmiller paints without a distinct movement or style. He doesn’t following rules or color wheels. His paintings are created through self satisfaction and creativity. Hopefully that aesthetic value is enjoyed by others. The majority of his paintings are acrylic on canvas with some infusion of watercolors or ink.
