Impulse introduces new Industrial Ethernet range

Oct. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Impulse is pleased to introduce our new industrial Ethernet product range from Advantech. The new range includes an extensive selection of intelligent Ethernet devices such as Switches, Ethernet I/O Adapters and Ethernet to Serial Servers.

Intelligent industrial Ethernet networks offer administrators huge advantages over traditional industrial FieldBus networks such as greater security, higher reliability, better manageability and opens users up to a wider range of technologies such as VoIP, FTP, HTTP, RDP and IM.

These Ethernet devices are designed to handle the harsh industrial environment and come with a wide range of power input methods and safety mechanisms. Unmanaged Ethernet Switches
These Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switches offer a cost effective plug-and-play networking solution that is both reliable and high performance. They require no set-up and are available in both standard 10/100Mbps and Gigabit 10/100/1000Mbps speeds with both copper wire and fibre optic connections.

EN50155 IP67 Ethernet Switches
The EKI-6500 series Industrial Ethernet Switches have passed EN50155 certification enabling them to withstand severe environmental shock and vibration. With added IP67 M12 waterproof I/O connectors, the EKI-6500 series is ideal for outdoor use.

Power over Ethernet Switches
Our Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions enable users to power IEEE802.3af compliant devices though an Ethernet cable removing the need for additional wiring. These rugged devices are housed in a compact IP30 casing enabling them to be more reliable in industrial environments. 

ADAM-6000 Series Ethernet I/O Adapters
The ADAM-6000 series Ethernet I/O adapters allow for greater remote monitoring of automated industrial systems and can be easily integrated into an industrial Ethernet network. The ADAM-6000 series modules include Analog I/O, Digital I/O and EtherNet/IP communication controllers.

Ethernet to Serial Servers
Advantech's EKI-1500 and ADAM-4500 series Serial Device Servers enables remote RS-232/422/486 control over an industrial Ethernet network. No additional programming is required and is backwards compatible with legacy serial hardware.
