Avas Flowers Donates to NYC Freedom Walk 2011

Oct. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Avas Flowers is proud to support the Human Trafficking Awareness Council’s NYC Freedom Walk 2011. The NYC Freedom Walk will take place this Saturday, October 8, 2011 in downtown Manhattan.

The Human Trafficking Awareness Council works with local and national governments to implement preventive measures and promote awareness of human trafficking. The council provides educational tools such as programs for law enforcements, communities, and governments.

HTA also works to fund charities and organizations that  implement programs designed for survivors, as well as provide aid and care. This weekend’s walk aims to raise awareness and educate people about the tragic consequences of human trafficking.

Avas Flowers will contribute to HTA’s cause by donating roses to the NYC Freedom Walk of 2011. Avas Flowers is offering a free delivery of roses that will be raffled off to participants. The charitable event will educate and bring awareness to the unfortunate truths of human trafficking while raising money to support the cause.

The proceeds collected from the event will be used to help rescue those within the trafficking loop and provide them with resources to health care, security and safety. Survivors will also benefit from the Freedom Walk.

The Freedom Walk will also have live entertainment, foo, raffles, keynote speakers and other activities. HTA Council works to educate citizens about the prevention of human trafficking, and Avas Flowers is excited to participate and contribute to this honorable cause.
