By: Lingo24 Mark Slobbe has been added to the board as Director of Americas alongside Managing Director, Christian Arno, and Operations Director, Jack Waley-Cohen. Mark joins following a 10-year history in the market research sector, more notably with global industry giants, Survey Sampling International (SSI), where he was first introduced to the Lingo team. He’ll be working closely with the Lingo24 Americas team in Panama to strengthen global operations, forge new relationships and to mark Lingo24 as a major player in North America. Mark says: "I'm thrilled to join Lingo24 and to work closely with Christian and Jack. I’ve worked with Lingo24 for about 8 years and I’ve always enjoyed it because of its people and culture. I'm honoured and proud to become part of the group of people and culture which make it such a great company to work for. “I really foresee that Lingo24 can grow a lot over the next year, particularly in the North America area.” Mark is the first new director to be appointed in eight years of Lingo24’s 10-year history. Mark will spend his first couple of months travelling between Lingo’s European and Panamanian offices where he’ll get to know the people first-hand. Thereafter he’ll be based in the New York City metro area. Mark Slobbe's on-the-ground presence in the USA will be supported by the appointment of our Head of Foreign Language Internet Marketing (FLIM), Matt Jackson, based in Boston. The recruitment of two senior staff members based in the USA is a key part of Lingo24's strategy to build brand presence in the USA and offer increased high-level customer support to clients in the Americas.
